Magic Carpet Ride 2023

What a week it was with the MCR 2023 gang at Phuket! The crew, which included members, alliance partners, central office staff and marketing partners, had a blast creating memories, friendships and incredible experiences.

The event was a massive hit with 382 attendees and their families left feeling inspired, engaged and uplifted. We did an excellent job of crafting each day to cater to a wide variety of interests. We put together a diverse range of experiences that helped build energy and excitement throughout the seven day event. It was an incredible reflection of what can be achieved with shared vision and purpose. 

This year’s event was off the charts! Popular Aussie rock icon, Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks played live in concert at the GEMS Awards on the opening night!

The Airstep Golf Day at Red Mountain Golf Club was followed by the Dunlop Flooring Trivia Tournament on Monday. Chang Cultural Dinner and activities were also part of the fun, along with sessions that ran simultaneously. 

Over 150 attendees shared their amazing photos on the MCR Facebook page, capturing their exciting experiences. A photo book is currently in the works with photos from the official photographer, Ellis Creative, and footage from a partner in Thailand, EXO. 

These will be distributed to those who attend in the coming months. Choices Flooring made a difference by contributing $10,000AUD to the Cambodian Children Fund, a charity organization that works toward building stronger, healthier and more resilient communities. 

This is an initiative that is near and dear to MJS Floorcoverings CEO, Brett Sturgess, as well as Choices Flooring members and Central Office staff. The destination for the 2025 MCR is currently being researched. Members and partners can hope for an announcement in early 2024.
